While it can be confusing to determine if you do qualify for the beneift package (CERB) the very first step is to apply for a 'My Account' with Canada Revenue Agency.  We cannot apply for My Account on your behalf as it is a private account that requires security questions and a personalized login and password.  Please have your most recent Notice of Assessment available.

MY ACCOUNT LINK IS BELOW

                                                      ***IMPORTANT***

- You must be able to prove a drop in income is due to COVID-19.

- Any benefits you may receive are taxable.

- You cannot earn a wage from your business or employer for 14 consecutive days in the period for which you have applied

- THIS MEANS YOU CAN NOT PAY ANY PERSONAL EXPENSES FROM YOUR COMPANY ACCOUNT OR TRANSFER ANY AMOUNT TO YOUR PERSONAL ACCOUNT OR CREDIT CARDS

- You must apply for every 4 week period in which you not earning income

                                                            **VERY IMPORTANT**

We realize for some of you this does not answer all your questions. Such as, I have a lot of money in the bank but do I still qualify? There is no mention of a 'means' test in the CERB website whatsoever. So, we are thinking you are safe to apply. But, please be very careful that your drop in income is 100% COVID related. Also, media outlets have been consistent in stating the program is for those in need. We are taking the approach that abusers of the system will be heavily penalized in terms of penalties and interest. And, we certanly anticipate users of CERB and the emergency wage subsidy to be open to audit. A good rule of thumb would be take whatever benefits you received, double that, and that would be your final bill from CRA.

- As other questions and issues arise we will update this site.
